Over the years I've posted quite a few radio shows and snippets from records of a spooky variety, which for one reason or another have disappeared! Here then are a few of the posted tracks that no longer work, which I'm putting here instead of updating dead links, to make it easier for anyone who hasn't heard them before to hear......
First up, a couple of old-timey radio shows!
Valse Triste (Lights Out 1942)
Two city women vacationing in the country lose their canoe and seek help within the dark woods. Coming upon a cabin, the women are then terrorized by a mad fiddler obsessed with chance who is intent on making one of them his bride and murdering the other.
(The audio on this next one is pretty bad, so maybe start with the video turned down and then increase it slowly until you get to the preferred listening volume!)
Behind The Locked Door (The Mysterious Traveler 1951)
An archaeological expedition to the Vermillion Cliffs of Arizona seeks to uncover ancient Aztec artifacts... but, instead, finds a cave with a bizarre and deadly legacy.
And now, our old pal Vincent Price continues to haunt the blog with his presence.....
Dreamland - Vincent Price - A Hornbook For Witches
How To See Ghosts Or Surely Bring Them To You - Vincent Price - A Hornbook For Witches
Vincent Price's Hall of Horrors - The Fox Sisters (1979)

Only a week left until Halloween is upon us! But there are still lots of great things for you to see in the Countdown To Halloween! Click on the badge below and you'll be whisked off to the Countdown Hub, where you can find a list of all this year's participants!
Vincent Price continues to haunt my blog for another year, as we listen to another couple of episodes of The Price of Fear, a BBC radio series produced between 1973 and 1983.....
And here's a bonus extra on How To Become A Werewolf, which I've posted on the blog before, but that link no longer works......
Be sure to check out some of the other bloggers, like Zombie Crossings, taking part in the Countdown by clicking the badge below, which will whisk yyou off to the hub!
Have some last minute Vincent Price! It's not Halloween without Vincent Price!
Okay people, that's Halloween posts done for me for another year! Gonna take a blog break, but might be persuaded to pop back in a month or so if Creepmas is still a thing! Hope your Halloween has been suitably spooktacular despite all this 2020 nonsense, and that pumpkins stay shining for as long as possible!
Also, thanks to all the other bloggers who have been taking part in the Countdown To Halloween, and to Master Cryptkeepers Michelle and Michael for keeping the whole thing going! Pop over one last time to the hub and check them all out! Now that I have time, I'll be visiting and reading all the posts!
Happy Halloween! See you in the pumpkin patch next year!
Here's another selection of Radio & TV shows starring some of my favourite Horror Stars! Managed to put this together quite quickly, but I'd best be off to college now! Just in case I don't manage to post anything else today, have a Happy Halloween! But hopefully I'll squeeze another couple of posts in when I get back!
Anyway, enjoy these horrific treats!
Peter Lorre in Mystery In The Air - Horla!
Boris Karloff's Thriller - Parasite Mansion!
Bela Lugosi in Suspense - The Doctor Prescribed Death!
Vincent Price & Peter Cushing in The Price Of Fear - The Man Who Hated Scenes!
Bah! Have just discovered/remembered that on Halloween, I'll actually be busy at my college course and won't get back until 10.30pm!! This has upset plans I had both for the blog and for celebrating my favourite festival outside in the 'real world'!
I should still be able to do most of what I had planned for the blog, but it means a lot of extra work in the next couple of days, so we'll see how I go with that! In the meantime, here's a few radio shows, a documentary and snippets of a certain Mr. Lorre, another horror star who enters my thoughts every year at this time......
If I don't manage to get as much stuff as I want up on the blog by Tuesday, there's always the other blogs taking part in the Countdown To Halloween to visit! Just click the Pumpkin below and you'll be whisked by some sort of witchity-magic to the Countdown page, where you'll find a list of all the participants!
It's been a while since I put up some old radio shows! If you'd rather settle back and let your imagination paint the pictures instead of watching the TV shows in the previous post, then this is the post for you! Just click on the videos below, turn away from your screens and let your imagination run away with you....
The Devil Doctor (The Witch's Tale 1934)
After purchasing an historic manor house in England, an American discovers that one of the promised 106 de Caseract family portraits is missing. He summons a local expert, the Reverend Mr Roberts, for an explanation and discovers the portrait isn't missing... it is hidden. For a very good reason.
Two city women vacationing in the country lose their canoe and seek help within the dark woods. Coming upon a cabin, the women are then terrorized by a mad fiddler obsessed with chance who is intent on making one of them his bride and murdering the other.
Three men are besieged in a lighthouse when a ship wrecks on the shoal and releases a horde of starving rats. Narrated by our old friend Vincent Price......
Behind The Locked Door (The Mysterious Traveler 1951)
An archaeological expedition to the Vermillion Cliffs of Arizona seeks to uncover ancient Aztec artifacts... but, instead, finds a cave with a bizarre and deadly legacy.
Having just discovered that the wonderful site where I got last years Vincent Price recordings from seems to sadly be down, I went for a look to see what I could find on Youtube....I then discovered that it's 20 years today since Mr. Price passed away! I can't let today go by without posting something Vincent related, so here's a few videos I found, some made to accompany some of his radio shows....
The first also features another great horror actor no longer with us, Peter Cushing! You'll need to watch it on Youtube though, as embedding's disabled...here's the link below...
