My Wii Collection

Been a while since I put up any Games Collection posts, so here's a lazy Sunday posting of my entire Wii collection! There's a couple of stinkers in there, but most are are pretty good or even awesome, and the ones that are bad I only paid about £1 for. Oh, and a couple of the games are actually my mother's as she got them when she picked up a Wii and Wii Fit...but I'm still the only one that really plays them! :)

I will single out a few later in the blog, as stuff like No More Heroes, Little King Story and Disaster : Day Of Crisis needs to be talked about...until then, just enjoy perusing the pics!

Massive Load Of Pick-Ups & Stuff ! ( Part 3 )

So...it's been a while! There are various reasons it's taken me so long to get back to writing the blog, but as none are very interesting I'll just say that the main one is that I got really annoyed with Blogger after I wrote a post for 3 hours only for it to get deleted by me pressing the wrong button, and then becoming irretreivable due to Blogger's "wonderful" auto save feature, which saved at the exact moment of deletion! I tried pressing several buttons and the like, but to no avail....needless to say, I was pretty miffed!

Still, I seem to have come out of my huff at the site, so we'll see how we go! Let's just get back to where I left it...with more of these pick-ups! Above you can see a Bananaman special, which I picked up in a charity shop for 50p!

Next is an issue of Big Comic Fortnightly, a comic that collected various reprinted strips from classic Fleetway comics! Much like Funny Fortnightly, which I also found an issue of that you can see below! I think these were both about 50p each, from the same charity shop as Bananaman...

The next set of comics also came from the same charity shop, but as they were in pretty bad condition, they were a bit cheaper at 25p each. The Return Of The Jedi issue 1 has no back cover, and the Topper & Nutty are a bit tattered and stained with some random beverage splashes, but are readable and worth having regardless...

I found this copy of Operation Wolf on Sega Master System for 1.99 in Cash Generator! Being a huge fan of the arcade game, I snapped it up, as I heard it's probably the best conversion. It was a good excuse to try out a Sega Master System Converter II I picked up for my Megadrive a while back too!

This next item is a bit random! It's a Kojak Crime Story Jigsaw! The cover opens up allowing you to read a story of a crime that's been committed, and you build up the jigsaw and look for clues in the picture to solve the case! It was a charity shop find for a couple of quid, and despite not really remembering much about the series, I thought I'd pick it up anyway...I used to get called Kojak by my family when I was a baby y'see, due to being bald and having a great love of lollypops......

On to the games now, and here's some more PS2 stuff...I won't go in to too much detail with these, as I'll probably cover most of them on here at some point hopefully! I will give a special shout out to GreigShelob
though, who sent me the copy of Ico, a game I've been looking to pick up for years! Thanks again, dude! All the rest were 2 or 3 quid and picked up either from Amazon or charity shops....

Some PS1 games were also acquired from charity shops for about 50p each, the only exception being Crusaders of Might & Magic, which despite not being the best game in the world, I actually sought out online as I used to have it back in the day and felt like a nostalgia trip! Cost me a couple of quid....

And finally, these bloody Spectrum games I've been on about for ages.....The Konami Collection below was picked up at the same time as the MS Operation Wolf above, and cost me a pound!

The next lot were purchased off a couple of chaps at World Of Spectrum from there Ebay pages, for some very reasonable prices! There's a few Commodore 64 games in there as well...oh, and More Tea, Vicar? which I bought from Cronosoft for 3.99!

So yeah, another good haul of stuff! I've kind of lost track of the rest of the pick-ups as they've merged in to the rest of my collection, but it was mainly PS2 games that I'll eventually cover, so we'll leave it at that for now! Besides, I suppose I'd better get back to these Gruesome Games soon, hadn't I......

Massive Load Of Pick-Ups & Stuff ! (Part 2)

Okay, so I promised you Spectrum games...well you'll have to wait for those as they're at my flat and I'm writing this at my parents...but here's some more of the stuff I've picked up recently! Above and below you can see some of the Garbage Pail Kid posters I picked up off a chap on Ebay...planning to get some more of those soon! They cost £3 each, apart from the Eat My Face one which was £8, and that's now shot up to just under £30 selling from the same chap for some reason!! Was lucky I got it when I did then! They all came with the original wrapper too, which was nice....

And here's some PS1 games I managed to find in a charity shop for 50p each....oh, apart from ONE....that cost me £2.99 from a video game shop called Gamesmaster in Edinburgh...

Next we have the first in a big batch of PS2 games I've amassed over the last couple of months....think my collection must have grown to about 350 PS2 games now! Most of these cost a £1, but there were some that were a bit more....don't think any were more than a £3 though!

And here's some more boxed toys! The Guitar Hero Lars was £3 from a charity shop, and the N-Fested Stretch Screamer was from Ebay, but can't remember how much that cost exactly...think it was about £4!

Some more comics next....here's some 2000ADs and a Spiderman comic I discovered in a Shelter charity shop yesterday, all for 50p each!

And these books were some more good charity shop finds! The rather weighty Commando book was £3.00, the Anime Explosion was £2.00 and the Fighting Fantasy Gamebook was £1.50...I couldn't find a price on the Fable novel, so the chap behind the counter gave me it for 50p when I bought it along with the Anime book! And as an added bonus, it still has an unscratched code for a unique Fable 3 weapon download in the back!! Yay!!

Finally here's some Wii Games I found in a local exchange shop for £2 each, and Dishonored on the 360 which cost me £10 from CEX...Oh, and Midtown Madness 3 on Xbox which I picked up for a £1....it doesn't have an inlay, as I think it must have come bundled with an Xbox or something originally...

Phew! More books and comics still to come in the next pick-up post, as well as those Spectrum games! And we've barely scratched the surface with the PS2 stuff.......See ya soon for more then!

Massive Load Of Pick-Ups and Stuff! ( Part 1)

Hello again! So...one of the reasons I haven't been posting so much lately is because I've been scouring the charity shops and places like Amazon and Ebay looking for stuff to add to my various collections, and unlike usual, I've found loads and loads of stuff! This has meant that I've been reading more, playing even more games than usual and struggling to find space to put all these newly acquired items.

I thought you lot lot would probably be interested to see what I've found, and although I'd love to do a Youtube style pick-up video, I still don't have decent technology to be able to make one, so you'll just need to do with a few crappy pics! These posts will just be showing you what I got by the way, and not going in to too much depth about things...but if there's something you'd like a closer look at, pop a comment below and I might just go and have a closer look in a future post!

Right, lets get on with it then...first up, lets take a look at some comics! I got all of these in an Oxfam bookshop in Edinburgh, and they cost either 25p, 50p or a quid! Can't really remember what cost what, but yeah..some good finds! That particular shop seems to get loads of comics handed in after comic sales in town, so I'll be keeping an eye out for more...

Next up is a batch of Sega Megadrive / Genesis games that I found in another charity shop. These all cost 2 quid each, and are all in good condition with the manuals and everything included! My Megadrive collection took a big hit a couple of years ago when I decided to start selling some stuff to clear space, so it was nice to find these to bulk it back up a bit....

And last for this first pick-up post, it's some Tron Legacy action figures that I found in Poundland for a pound each! I went back the next day to see if I could find some more, but they had all mysteriously disappeared, so I'm glad I managed to pick up this lot all at once, because I was kind of thinking I'd just get a couple and then go back, but I picked up one of each the toys I saw that day...

So that's the first lot of stuff out of the way...Next time we'll look at some Spectrum and PS2 games, some more comics, a couple of books and some more toys! See ya then....
