Made for TV in 1978, Devil Dog - The Hound of Hell is about a family who have unwittingly been chosen by a bunch of dodgy devil-worshippers to raise a Barghest-infused puppy to adulthood!
They really went all out in the special effects department, and there isn't a hint of sarcasm in that statement at all...*cough*
