Even More TV Terrors!

If you've visited the blog before during previous Countdowns, you'll know I like to watch a lot of freaky old TV shows in the run-up to Halloween. I also like to share these series with you lot in case you've never heard of them before, as I seem to discover more and more that I've never seen before every time I go to look for them on Youtube!

I've shown some of Boris Karloff's 1960s series Thriller before on the blog, but it's been a while...This episode below stars a young William Shatner, who despite being famous for piloting Starships, also seems to pop up rather frequently in freaky old TV shows! It's about a scary old painting that may or may not be cursed, and it's called...The Grim Reaper!!

Next is a tale from 1990s series Ghost Stories, which feels a bit similar to a recent horror movie hit. It's not got quite the same punch, but is still worth a watch...Consumers is the title.....

Next we go to Hammer's short lived series Journey to the Unknown from 1968 for a tale of an untrustworthy private investigator who trys to scam a woman who is trying to contact her dead husband... this one is called The Indian Spirit Guide!

And finally for tonight, it's Dead Of Night, another short lived series, this time from 1972, and one of which only three episodes remain in the BBC's archives. The Exorcism is a cautionary tale about buying old farmhouses and filling them with expensive technology...probably....
